Functional Description:

Cruising yachts and luxury yachts are large marine power craft that have full accommodations for passengers.  On larger luxury yachts there will also be accommodations for a crew.  These yachts will have berths, heads, and a galley.  Yachts will have gasoline (petrol) or diesel inboard engines for propulsion.  They will also have on board generators to provide electricity while at sea.

Cruising yachts are generally 30 to 50 feet (9 to 15 metres) in length.  Luxury yachts lengths are divided into three categories; luxury yacht, super yacht and mega yacht.  A luxury yacht is 50 to 100 feet (9 to 30 metres) in length.  Super yachts are from 100 to 150 feet (30 to 45 metres) in length and a mega yacht is over 150 feet (45 meters) in length.

Luxury motor yachts will have many amenities on board.  These may include large yacht tenders, helicopters, jetski boats, etc.  Super yachts and mega yachts will often have a swimming pool onboard.
